Dr. Sandra Nassar

Education and Clinical Experience
Dr. Nassar completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Pittsburgh. She was awarded her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry and completed a residency in ocular disease at the WG Hefner VA Medical Center. She has a broad clinical background with special interest in the treatment of ocular disease, particularly the management of dry eye disease, and care of geriatric patients.

Dr. David Neal

Dr. Neal completed his undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He was awarded his Doctorate of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry. He has an extensive clinical background in private practice and has a special interest in pediatrics, specialty contact lenses, and ocular disease.

Dr. Marie Huegel

Optometrist

Education and Clinical Experience

Dr. Marie Huegel received her bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences at Clemson University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. After optometry school, she completed a residency in ocular disease with an emphasis on anterior segment at Associated Eye Care in Stillwater, Minnesota. One of the most enjoyable parts of her practice is keeping up with the evolving medical technology as well as establishing a relationship with her patients and their families. Her clinical interests are primary care, dry eye, and ocular disease. Outside of work, Dr. Huegel enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, board games, and the outdoors.

Kate

Office Manager

Ms. Kate is the office manager for QC Eye. She has been with QC Eye since opening day and has a background of over fifteen years of experience providing tailored support. Helping others and offering intelligent and innovative support are two beliefs Kate imparts every day. Her experience, positive attitude, and willingness to help others allow her to excel in administrative roles.

Kate assists our office virtually from South Africa, in her spare time she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth is the optometric technician for our Mooresville office. She is from Statesville, NC. She graduated from Wingate University at the end of 2024 where she completed research in molecular genetics. Her hobbies include reading, going on runs, and spending time with friends, family, and her dogs.

Raven

Optometric Technician​​​​​​​

​​​​​​​Raven is the optometric technician at our Charlotte office. She was born and raised in Charlotte, NC but considers herself to be a country girl at heart. She recently graduated from Winston-Salem State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and intends to go back to school to pursue a medical degree. In the meantime, Raven enjoys spending time with my family and friends, painting, and going on adventures in nature.
